End of Summer Blues

Sometimes when I notice the seasons are coming to an end and changing I start to feel like I'm in school still because it will affect me that the season is changing from summer to fall. The Aisles of school supplies at my local staples make me somewhat depressed. It's not that this in any way effects my general day to day life but there is something about the end of beach season that gets me every time.  I try not to get overly down but I have noticed it has an effect on me and I thought it reason enough to share to see if anyone notices a similar feeling with basic season change...

My Hero

Here is the hpc3000 a durable and industrial level portable data center air conditioner unit that my server room relies on. Even with the single nozzle this fella keeps my server room at a brisk 64' and requires little to no maintenance. I never really thought I would be boasting about my computer room cooling on the internet but honestly after a burn out I purchased this for immediate cooling and damage control and now my entire server relies on it.

Eco Friendly & Pocket Friendly

I have recently found myself caught up in a debate with friends over whether or not there is a high enough pay off to go with a portable air conditioner versus a built in unit or a window unit. The appeal in todays market is they are compact and movable, as simple as it sounds sometimes you simply dont have a need to cool every unused room in your home. This Low profile device is ideal for really any type of cooling and don’t take up a lot of space. One of the things that really drew me in was the affordability, the units themselves are not out of one's price-range. You also will only be cooling the room that the unit is in so you're saving money by not paying to cool every nook and cranny of your home. AmeriCool units come with a remote capability so you can operate the system from the couch or the kitchen if you're busy cooking you wont need to leave and turn up the system. They are also portable so that you can move it to whichever room you wish. With these units, installation is as minimal as simply plugging it in and you will be ready to go. The manufacturer has purposely made this has user friendly as possible. You do not need a professional installer. No need to knock out a hole in the wall or deprive yourself of the use of a window. Lastly and most importantly by cooling only specific areas as needed (as opposed to central air conditioning units that cool the entire house), you achieve energy efficiency. The spot cooling results in lower operational costs and saves you money.

Dream Boat

Did any of you see the ridiculous yet some how humorous movie "hot tub time machine"? I remember watching that film and thinking that hot tubs have the opposite effect on me... I never feel like i go back in time, instead I feel as though I am jumping ahead. It is literally a life suck. This picture makes me a bit envious because having a hot tub in my server room could make for some convenient time management while at work and even dare I say make everything more relaxing. To bad this would never fit into my mission critical technology or my data room, because it would moisten and heat up everything. But a guy can dream right?

A little Server Humor if you will

I don't even care that this is two weeks late, I'm Irish to the bitter core and any humor pertaining to Mission Critical technology is my kind of humor. I only wish this occurred when I stepped into my own server room. Pretty sure that think bubble says "He's after me lucky chips". Sigh, let me have my cheesy fun its Friday.

Ideal World

In an Ideal world we would never have trouble with climate control in our server rooms. But the world isn't ideal and stuff happens. If you're like me and in need of controling the temperature in your data center room look into AmeriCool. Their portable air conditioner units are ideal for commercial applications such as data center cooling, server rooms, along with cooling individual data system equipment.

Power Outage

Oh joy, its like walking out to your garage with after the water heater has exploded and strategically turned your garage into a sauna. I walked into work today and noticed the power was out. I'm so thank for to AmeriCool's portable air conditioner units for having the automatic restart, words cant even begin to explain. I didn't lose any of my data in the process of the power outage. I should have known when I was driving down the street and all the lights were out but still, my heart dropped to my feet when I walked in. I cant rave about it enough seriously if you have the mission critical needs such as data center cooling dont hesitate to visit their site.

RogersKy | Hints: And the Lucky Number is... 68

RogersKy | Hints: And the Lucky Number is... 68: Did you know 68 degrees is the average temperature a data center has to be to keep the servers functioning normally. Did you also know that if the power goes out and your ac shuts off your server is at risk for a serious overheating situation. Check out Americool the only portable air conditioner unit I trust my work's mission critical needs to.

Easy as Pie

Easy installation and portability what could be better then an AmeriCool Portable Air Conditioner

Brrrr

For those of us that own big companies and have a server room where heat is just protruding from under the door I would like to recommend a company that offers Portable Air Conditioners specifically for data center cooling and for all Mission Critical needs. For those that are familiare with such things as portable air conditioners you may be familiar with Weltem Co., Ltd. of Korea which is just what AmeriCool offers, they are the companies presence in North America and proudly offer the heavy duty air conditioners. They are perfect for any environment, but realistically I just needed something to cool off my server rooms so I wouldn't have to worry about it any more. Hope this was a helpful tidbit...
